Police seek accident witnesses

Plainville police seek witnesses to an accident that occurred Thursday, Oct. 9 at the intersection of routes 177 and 72.

The Traffic Division of the Plainville Police Department is looking for witnesses to an early morning injury accident that took place on North Washington Street, Route 177, at the entrance to Route 72 eastbound. Two motorists were sent to the hospital as a result of the accident.

The accident occurred Thursday, Oct. 9 at approximately 6:30 a.m.

The two-vehicle involved both sustained extensive damage. Preliminary investigation indicates that a 1996 Chevrolet Beretta, color blue, operated by Mary Baker, of Plainville, was traveling southbound  on North Washington Street. The second vehicle, a green 1998 Honda Civic, operated by Adam Minacci, of Bristol, was traveling north on North Washington when the collision occurred.
