High school in temporary lock down last Friday

Southington police arrested Christopher Hauschild, 25, of 26 Darling St., Southington, in connection with an incident that occurred May 1 on Southington High School property. The school was placed in temporary, precautionary code lock down until police apprehended the suspect at his home after he fled school property.
At about 11:30 a.m., Hauschild was arrested for trespassing on Southington High School property. Police allege that the suspect entered several students' cars that were parked in the parking lot. Hauschild fled the scene, but was later apprehended and arrested for third degree criminal trespass, sixth degree larceny, fourth degree larceny, breach of peace, theft of credit card and third degree burglary.
Hauschild was held on a $5,000 cash/surety bond and he was given a May 2 court date at Bristol Superior Court.
Police also discovered that Hauschild had a warrant for his arrest for the same type of incident. He was also processed for the warrant and a $10,000 cash surety was assigned.
