The Rev. David C. Strosahl, pastor of First Baptist Church of Southington, presents the annual Martin Luther King Jr. award to two middle school students who had been selected by their teachers and principal as best exemplifying the character of King and their commitment to helping others. Receiving the awards are Morgan Ouellette, of DePaolo Middle School, (in purple) and Katlin Klein, of Kennedy Middle School, (in white sweater.) Family members watch the presentation, which was made Jan. 18 at the 13th annual event presented by First Baptist to honor the civil rights leader.
